Download EXP Viewer 6.0 for Windows XP/Vista   (7.4 MB)

Download EXP Viewer 5.1 for Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/Vista   (6.9 MB)

The EXP Viewer enables you to view and print documents created by EXP versions 3.0 and later. These documents may have been posted on the web or they may have been distributed by other means.

Note: If you already own EXP 6.0, there is no need for you to install the EXP Viewer. The viewer is strictly for those people who need to view EXP documents and do not own EXP 6.0. In fact, EXP 6.0 and the EXP Viewer 6.0 should not be installed at the same time.

The EXP Viewer 6.0 has the same functionality as the full EXP 6.0 product, with the following exceptions:

  • It cannot save files.
  • It cannot convert documents to LaTeX.
  • It does not include the spelling checker.
  • It can only import the following types of graphics files: AI, BMP, EMF, EPS, JPEG, PNG, WMF.
  • It does not include the following new EXP 6.0 features:
    • Save EXP documents in PowerPoint® format
    • Copy EXP content to the clipboard and paste it into other programs as a scalable graphic
    • Copy tabular data from Excel® to the clipboard and paste it into EXP as a table
    • Use heading styles to create bookmarks in PDF files
    • Print documents with line numbers

The viewer includes all the EXP 6.0 documentation. It also includes the sample document "Binomial.wxp".

After you have installed the EXP Viewer, you can test your system's ability to view EXP documents posted on the web by clicking on the following link that points to the EXP sample document "Binomial.wxp".

When you click on a link that points to an EXP document file (.WXP extension) your browser should automatically download the EXP file and then launch the EXP Viewer to view it. Note that the EXP document will not appear inside the browser's window; it will be displayed in a separate EXP window.

To include a hyperlink to an EXP .WXP file in your HTML page, use a tag of the following form:
